Who we are

GoGetCab ("we", "us") is operated by GoGetCab, Pune, Maharashtra, India. For any privacy question or request, contact gogetcabpartner@gmail.com.

What we collect

The booking form on this website asks for one thing, and everything else on it is optional. An enquiry carrying nothing but a phone number is a complete enquiry.

The form does not ask your name and we do not store one for these enquiries — a partner sees the trip with no name against it at all, rather than a stand-in word.

If you reached us instead through a lead form on Instagram or Facebook, we receive the answers to whatever questions that form asked. Those forms commonly do ask for your name, and may also ask for your email address, passenger count or budget. We keep a copy of your answers as Meta passed them to us, so there is a record of what was actually submitted.

We never ask a traveller for money, and we do not collect payment details, government identifiers, or precise location data from travellers.

Advertising and measurement

Our home page carries the Meta pixel, which tells Meta (Facebook and Instagram) that a visit or an enquiry happened. We use it to measure whether our ads work and to reach people likely to need a cab. Meta receives your IP address, browser details, the page you were on and whether you completed the form.

What it does not send is the content of your enquiry. Your name, phone number and trip details are never passed to Meta by us — only the fact that an enquiry was submitted, along with the trip type and vehicle class.

To refuse it: block trackers in your browser or use an ad blocker, and the pixel will not load. Nothing on this site stops working if you do. Meta's own use of the data it collects is covered by their privacy policy rather than ours.

Why we collect it, and who receives it

We exist to connect you with cab and travel businesses who can run your trip. When you send an enquiry we show it to registered partners who cover your route, and they contact you with their fares — normally by WhatsApp, call or SMS, on the number you gave us. Sending an enquiry is your request to be contacted by those partners.

Your number is withheld until a partner commits to answering you. Partners are shown the trip without your contact details, and a partner receives your number only when they pay to take the enquiry. No more than six partners can do that, so six is the most operators who can ever obtain your details from one enquiry — not everyone on the platform.

We do not sell your data for advertising, and we do not share it with anyone other than the cab partners matched to your enquiry and the service providers described below.

Where the data comes from

If you filled in a lead form on Instagram or Facebook, Meta passes those answers to us through the Meta Lead Ads API. Meta's own handling of your data is covered by their privacy policy, not ours.

Service providers

This service runs on a dedicated server hosted in India, where enquiry records are stored. We use Brevo to send sign-in codes and receipts by email, and Razorpay to take partner wallet payments. Partners contact you over WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta. We also use a third-party verification provider to check partner licence and vehicle registration numbers against the official government records — that one concerns partners only, and nothing a traveller sends us is passed to it. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms.

If you are a cab partner

Everything above is about travellers. Partners who sign in to the app give us more, and the most sensitive data on this platform is theirs rather than any traveller's, so it is set out separately.

How verification works. We do not collect, store or review images of your documents. You type your driving licence number and your vehicle registration number — and optionally your date of birth — and we send them to a third-party verification provider, which checks them against the official government records and returns the name held on the record and the dates it is valid for. Document images gathered under our earlier process have been deleted and there is no longer any way to upload one.

From each check we keep the provider's result, the name on the official record, the validity date, the time we asked and the last four digits of the number. The number itself is not stored with the result. The licence and registration numbers you typed do stay on your own profile record, alongside the rest of the business details you gave us, because they are part of what you told us about your business — so you can see them, correct them, or have them deleted with your account.

We used to accept a PAN or Aadhaar number as an alternative document. We no longer ask for either: verification runs on the licence and the registration, which are the two that can be checked against an official record, so there is nothing an Aadhaar number would be used for. A name on a record that does not match what you told us sends your submission to a person to look at; it does not reject you.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are retained for 12 months so partners can follow up and so we can resolve disputes, then deleted. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.

Verification results are kept for 12 months from the date of the check, then deleted. A result is the provider's status, the name on the official record, the validity date, the time of the check and the last four digits of the number — never an image, never the full number, and never a date of birth: if you gave one it was used for that one lookup and kept nowhere. Whether a partner is verified, and the expiry dates on their documents, stay with the partner's account for as long as the account exists, because that is what decides whether they receive enquiries.
